Our Family Grows By One

I'd like to introduce you all to the newest addition to our family. He's an 8 week old Shih-tzu named Rascal.
We just picked him up last night, and so far he's adjusting to his new home pretty well. He's decided he likes the other two dogs we have, although I'm not so sure they are as fond of him. And the cats? Well, let's just say that they are less than thrilled, but he thinks they're great!

Last night, he slept through the night without crying, but I don't think we're going to get so lucky tonight. The kids have decided he's really cute while he's sleeping, and will curl up with him on the couch. Needless to say, I think the potential for spoiling is high.

This picture may be hard to tell, but he's really small. He fits in the palm of one hand, but packs quite a bite if he wants to, and most times, he wants to. Those little puppy teeth are like needles! He won't get very big, I'm told. Probably only about six pounds or so. I've never had a dog so small before, and I'm just amazed at his fearlessness for being so small. He definitely thinks he's a bigger dog than he is!

No kidding! Rascal's doing pretty good for only being 8 weeks old. He goes outside pretty well, he just doesn't like the cold! LOL The thing I'm having to get used to is getting up in the middle of the night when he needs to go out. Then, he doesn't want to go back to sleep! Oye! It's like having a baby again! LOL

What It's All About

I'm a 30-something mom with three children. I am visually impaired, and I work from home. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. You have to live for the day, enjoy your family, and laugh as much as you can. This is how I live my life, having as much fun along the way as I can!
